Our Spring Concert 2019 featured Puccini’s mass Messa di Gloria.

The concert is divided up into four segments, the first two segments are the Puccini mass and feature a tenor and a baritone.

In Part 1 the tenor; Stuart Murray Mitchell features on the Gratias agimus tibi at the 9min-50second point.

Part 1 of 4:

In Part 2 the tenor again comes in at the 3:44 point and the the baritone Colum Donovan-Patterson at the 6:02 point and again at the 12:44 point closely followed by the tenor. Both soloists figure again near the end on the Agnus Dei at the 14:45 point.

Part 2 of 4:

Part 3 includes Haydn’s Insanae et Vanae Curae and an organ solo by our stand-in accompanist John Turner; Fugue & Gigue in F minor by Handel

Part 3 of 4:

Part 4 opens with God so Loved the World by Sir John Stainer, then at 4:27: As Torrents in Summer by Edward Elgar, at 7:50: For the Beauty of the Earth by John Rutter and at 12:50: the encore, HMS Pinafore, (a salute to Gilbert & Sullivan) are featured.
