Outdoor Activities

Le Perche is great for cycling

Cycling : We welcome cyclists and have secure storage facilities for bicycles, a laundry/drying room and maintenance facilities. Nearby is the Voie Verte, a former railway track which was opened in 2010 as a track for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders. It stretches from Alençon to Condé-sur-Huisne and links up with the route from Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel. There are circuits for cyclists of all abilities published by cycling associations and available at the Maison du Parc. For more information go to www.veloscenie.com and http://voievertealencon-conde.over-blog.com For bicycle hire try info.tourisme@parc-naturel-perche.fr .

Horse riding : We have fenced pasture land and a horse shelter for those guests arriving on horse-back or bringing their horses with them. There are several equestrian centres nearby (6km). For more information go to www.bistrot-des-ecuries.com and http://poneyxpress.com.

Walking : no need to take the car ! There are lovely walks all around. Maps and guides are available. There is also a signposted circuit of watermills and manor houses in the three picturesque valleys of the rivers Huisne, Commeauche and Corbionne which starts in Rémalard. Go to Rémalard, Perche, vallée de l'Huisne, route des moulins, Parc naturel régional du Perche - Rémalard et ses environs.
There are organised walks all year round run by the Association Faune et Flore de l’Orne(in French).
